AH NUTS! this music_man came in with a busted nut and the client requested a bone replacement. that’s all well and good, but you can’t just go slapping any ‘ol nut in there. music man basses after 2005 have compensated nuts as a standard, so that means the distance from the front edge of the nut shelf to the first fret is a bit shorter and a regularly carved nut won’t let the bass play in tune. we started off by fitting a blank and having the getplekd machine do the slots and top shaping. from there we measured the compensation on the old nut and got to hogging with a dremel. came out great and the bass plays in tune! come see us for all your nut needs! #getplekd

just wrapped up this fender custom shop nocaster. this guy was in pretty rough shape, but after using our PLEK to correct the radius, doing some fret slot reinforcement and getting some new jescarmusic frets in there, it’s doing much better. we rounded home with a brand new set of music_city_bridge groove master saddles,an unbleached bone nut and a PLEK fret level and this sucker is playing better than it ever has before! and in tune! #getplekd

No, you’re not looking at our new Bo Diddley signature model. 😂 This is our Mestric Universal Guitar Neck Jig that we use to mount our necks to when we put them through the PLEK for a fret dress and to have the nut slots cut. Plek tune up for the Voyager
This jenningsguitars Voyager Deluxe has always played and felt great in the hands. And after playing it for several years now with minimal maintenance I thought I’d get it scanned and see if it could be even better.

mandy_meyer_guitar – absolute Rock-Legende (Krokus / Gotus) – hat mit seiner Strat bei uns im Gitarrenwerk vorbeigeschaut. ✌️
Die Gitarre? Gut gespielt ist noch untertrieben: Bünde komplett runter, Intonation irgendwo im Nirgendwo 😅
Kurz gesagt: Zeit für ein ordentliches Refret!
Jetzt wieder ready to rock:
-Stainless-Steel-Bünde (halten jetzt wirklich was aus)
-Sauber abgerichtetes Griffbrett
-Neuer Bone Nut – schlicht, aber entscheidend
Ergebnis: fühlt sich wieder richtig gut an, klingt sauber und macht einfach wieder Spaß.

This guitar had seriously been played: frets completely worn down, intonation all over the place 😅
So yeah… definitely time for a proper refret.
Now it’s back in business:
-Stainless steel frets (built to last)
-Clean fretboard leveling
-Fresh bone nut – subtle but essential
Result: smooth feel, spot-on intonation, and ready to rock again.
